Farrer is one of the largest and most important regional electorates in Australia. The Riverina area it includes is commonly known as the nation’s ‘foodbowl’.

However, Farrer is also one of the most politically neglected regions of the country.

Many parts of Farrer are now in crisis. There is a serious issue of survival looming in the threatened Murray Darling Basin that provides critical water security to our primary producers and their communities.

For some it is already too late and there are many in more rural and remote areas who have packed up and moved elsewhere.

It’s time for a strong independent voice to stand up and call out what is going wrong, find the solutions and rebuild our communities.

It’s time to turn the lights back on in Farrer.
